Urushi beads, diamonds, and smoked glass—each reflects light differently, revealing a model with depth and ever-changing expressions depending on the light source and time of day. The simplicity of the case shape and dial design highlights the beauty of the details, allowing you to sense not mechanical time, but the gentle passage of time illuminated by light.
Although there are no indexes on the dial, the hour and minute hands are easy to read, giving the impression of a bracelet that also functions as a watch.
Furthermore, urushi lacquer is not presented in the traditional way, but is fused with the watch in a modern design, letting you enjoy a contemporary expression of traditional craftsmanship.
Despite its asymmetrical shape, it is comfortable to wear and offers a special feeling, as if wearing modern jewelry.

While asymmetrical and distinctive, the design is simple, minimal, and easy to wear. It is a delicate bangle type, like a bracelet. The glass has a softly white smoked finish toward the outside, and the urushi bead shines with a glossy, beautiful luster.

The connection between the case and band, which cannot be seen from the front.

The part that secures the diamond is screwed in from the back. Even though it is a small component, you can sense the attention to detail in its construction.

The side surface of the case is a smooth, polished curve that feels pleasant to the touch. Although not visible from the front, the crown is neatly housed on the side.

The case shape protrudes toward the center like an indicator ring. When the circular hairline finish overlaps with the white, cloudy glass, it creates a gentle reflection and mysterious refraction of light, with the softened color of the metal surrounding the dial. The case has a very thin rim, accentuating the simple dial and the character of the glass. The urushi bead features a glossy, black lacquer exterior with a gradation of silver powder, incorporating traditional craftsmanship in a modern form.

The bangle part is curved to fit the wrist, along with adjustment link parts. When worn, the adjustment links are hidden on the underside of the wrist, so it looks like a bangle. The push-button clasp is easy to put on and take off, balancing design and usability.
ENGINEER'S EYE
New Jewelry
For the urushi-bead ornaments, we use three specifications from the long-established lacquerware house “Sakamoto Otsuzō Shōten”: Shirogane (silver), Kin Ryūsei (golden meteor), and Kurogane (black silver). Depending on the specification, the layering of urushi and the maki-e techniques differ, and each carefully crafted urushi bead creates a variety of luminous reflections through its color and the way the coats are applied.
We also repeatedly prototyped the frosted glass, inspired by moonlight, to achieve the right balance between legibility and light transmittance, and to express its delicate degree of haze through painting.
The watch head and the urushi-bead ornament positioned at 11 o’clock are linked asymmetrically, and the band is a bangle type. We focused on engineering that enhances the simple design—such as the aesthetic balance, the wearing comfort when the watch is on the wrist, and the structure to optimize these aspects. As a result, we achieved a completely new sense of jewelry unlike anything before.
