A watch that links to your smartphone via Bluetooth®. While it retains the essence of a timepiece that tells time, its invisible Bluetooth® functionality is expressed through its form, making it feel as though it connects us to our smartphones. The case shape is both sharp and smooth. The sides of the case are boldly trimmed, leaving a thin hairline surface that expresses thinness and a sense of edge. This thin hairline surface connects to the gentle curve of the soft lugs, and the flow of this surface evokes the image of a smartphone. Amidst the sharpness, there is also a soft and gentle impression. The glass, used widely like a display, and the cut glass further enhance its advanced look. The dial concentrates its displays at the 2 o’clock sub-dial, but the information is well-organized, and the matte finish ensures excellent legibility. Despite its complexity, the dial is organized and uniquely balanced, giving the impression of a high-function, new kind of 'instrument.'

The cut glass and short indexes are striking. It gives a sense of newness that feels both like a watch and like a home appliance. The large push button gives it a presence as a tool, going beyond that of a standard watch.

The top and bottom surfaces of the case are boldly cut. Even within the bold design, the thin plane remaining at the center gives a sense of delicacy.

The indexes on the dial connect to the slits in the indicator ring. This creates an expansive, flowing impression that feels like it spreads outward from the inside.

The sub-dial at the 2 o’clock position stands out with its matte finish. The symmetrical arrangement of the function display at the 6 o’clock position gives the impression of an instrument.

The indicator ring has a three-dimensional shape. There is space at the bottom, giving it a floating, advanced impression.

A bold yet delicate composition of surfaces. The side appears thin, and this thin surface connects smoothly to the tip of the lugs.

The case back, densely filled with markings, is proof of a high-tech watch.

Linear and smart function display font.

The reverse side of the polyurethane band features a fine pattern. Designed for sweat drainage, it also ensures comfort and ease of use.

The Evolution of Bluetooth® Watch
The second-generation model of the light-powered Bluetooth® watch.
Developed as the successor to the world’s first light-powered Bluetooth® watch, the “Eco-Drive Proximity” (Cal. W760), which was launched in the United States in 2012 to great acclaim.
While retaining the basic structure of the movement, the adoption of a new Bluetooth® communication IC has significantly enhanced the design of the dial and extended the operating time from a full charge.
In addition, numerous feature upgrades were implemented, including compliance with JIS Class 1 antimagnetic standards, automatic time correction, pairing with multiple smartphones, and an expanded “Light Level Indicator” function.
Furthermore, in 2021 the watch became compatible with the IoT platform “Riiiver,” enabling not only notifications from a smartphone but also retrieval of various information and control of smart devices.
